In the morning we finished the installation in Valdivia. It took a while to move data from an old computer to a new one because of the technology gap, but eventually we figured it out. We then buried the sensor and cable and left for Osorno to University of Los Lagos.
Osorno is about 100km south of Valdivia. We saw many cows during the drive since this area is the wisconsin of chile, a big dairy producer. It is interesting seeing the diversity of animals. In patagonia from punta arenas to puerto natales in the south we saw lambs and in Torres del Paine it was mostly llamas and ostrich like birds called gauncos.
